Essential British Gardens is a digest of some of the finest gardens and arboretums throughout Britain & the Republic of Ireland. It is based on the original author’s experiences and those of other keen gardening friends. We are most grateful to them and all those readers of the uk.rec.gardening newsgroup who have helped with the compilation of this assemblage of gardens scattered throughout England, Scotland, Wales and Ireland. Inevitably, it is a subjective assembly and not comprehensive.
