Kentwell Hall’ s Wool Weekend and all things Sheep!
9th June at 11:00 am to 10th June at 4:00 pm£15.00
This is an exciting journey from sheep shearing to seeing the wool spun and in the traditional Tudor way, watch dyers and cloth being made.
The sheep shearer will be hard at work all day in the stable yard, shearing Kentwell’s rare breed Norfolk Horn Sheep.
If you fancy your own Kentwell ‘fleece’ they will be available to buy.
The house and gardens including the children’s
Story Book Adventure Trail that includes 19 stories and characters; from the enormous ‘Crunching Munching Caterpillar*’ to the magnificent ‘Gorilla who wanted to Grow Up**’ – each character represented in it unique way.
* Box Hedge cut in to a caterpillar approx 6.5 yards long
** A wonderful sculptured 6ft metal Gorilla
And take time to enjoy a home made lunch or afternoon tea in the Stable Yard Tea Rooms.
