One of the most delightful gardens in England, created by the great horticulturist Major Lawrence Johnston. A series of small gardens separated by walls and hedges, Hidcote is famous for rare shrubs, trees, herbaceous borders, ‘old roses’ and interesting plant species. Many of the plants found growing in the garden were collected from Johnston’s many plant hunting trips to far away places.
