A 3,000 acre estate originally surrounded the castle. The parkland is now much smaller, but still contains farms, woodland, a golf course and several gardens. In the Castle grounds are aviaries, a swannery and the famous old Culpepper garden full of fragrant plants. A maze leads to an underground grotto, and there are vineyards and greenhouses to visit. A museum contains a collection of Medieval Dog Collars! The only one (probably) in the World. Truly unique.
