The following list of UK & Republic of Ireland Garden Societies and Associations is far from exhaustive, but slowy growing.

- The Alpine Garden Society (UK) - Alpine and rock gardening.
- British Cactus & Succulent Society - Promoting the study, conservation, propagation and cultivation of cacti.
- British Clematis Society - Promoting the cultivation and preservation of clematis.
- British Fuchsia Society - Formed in 1938 with the object of furthering interest in cultivation of the Fuchsia.
- British National Carnation Society - Promoting the cultivation of all groups of Dianthus including Pinks, Border Carnations and Perpetually Flowering Carnations.
- British Pelargonium and Geranium Society - Promoting interest in the geraniaceae family.
- British Pteridological Society - Founded in 1891 and today continues as a focus for fern enthusiasts.
- Carrickfergus Garden Society - Formed in 1955 to encourage amateur growers. Plant Sale in May and a Flower Show in August.
- Cottage Garden Society - Old fashioned flowers grown in the traditional cottage garden style.
- Cyclamen Society - Encourages cultivation, knowledge and conservation of the cyclamen family.
- Eastling Gardeners Club - Horticultural society for the village of Eastling nr Faversham in Kent.
- Ewell Horticultural Association - Serving the gardeners of Ewell and Stoneleigh since 1865.
- Faversham Horticultural Society - Founded in 1863 by the gardeners of Faversham in Kent.
- Secret Gardens of Faversham - Every year the Faversham Society opens many of the gardens of the town to the public.
- Fernhurst Horticultural Society - The society organises spring, summer and autumn shows, plus lots of other activities.
- Gardeners' Royal Benevolent Society - A charitable organisation helping disabled or retired gardeners for over 160 years.
- Hardy Plant Society - Enjoy a wide range of activities for the enthusiastic hardy planter.
- Heather Society - Founded in 1963, to promote and encourage interest in heathers.
- Hebe Society - Promotes the cultivation and conservation of hebes and other New Zealand native plants.
- Hellesdon Horticultural Association - For Hellesdon and Norwich district people interested in gardens, gardening and flora. Affiliated to Norfolk and Norwich Horticultural Society.
- Herb Society - The UK's leading society for the appreciation of herbs and their benefits to health.
- Irish Garden Plant Society - The society organises talks, lectures & workshops mainly from September to April. During the summer months, there is a series of garden visits throughout Ireland.
- National Auricula & Primula Society - Promoting interest in the thousands of cultivated forms.
- National Dahlia Society - List of UK shows, local societies, results, how to grow, where to buy, history of the dahlia.
- National Sweet Pea Society - Promotes Sweet Peas and other Lathyrus species. Regular publications to members.
- Newton-le-Willows Gardeners' Association - A membership of around 600 in Newton-le-Willows Merseyside.
- North of England Horticultural Society - Supporting horticulture in the north of England.
- Ranunculaeae Society - Promoting the many different genera, species and cultivars belonging to the buttercup family.
- Rayleigh Horticultural Society - A long established society based in Essex.
- RHS Lily Group - One of the specialist Plant Societies of the Royal Horticultural Society.
- Scottish National Sweet Pea, Rose & Carnation Society - Promoting interest in Sweet Peas, Roses and Carnations.
- Scottish Rock Society - Promoting the cultivation of alpine and rock garden plants.
- Tatton Garden Society - Cheshire society formed in 1962. National Collection of Fraxinus & Pinus (spp.)
- The Gardeners Guild - The Gardeners Guild is the only organisation representing professional domestic maintenance gardeners. Anyone who needs a gardener can visit our site to view our members gardening credentials.
- The Institute of Horticulture - Representing all those professionally engaged in horticulture in the UK & Ireland.
- The Lavenders - Web site of one of the National Collections of Lavandula in the UK.
- The National Begonia Society - Formed in 1948, the society caters for all begonia growers.
- The Royal Forestry Society - Furthering the appreciation, understanding and knowledge of trees, woods and forests.
- The Royal National Rose Society - Founded in 1876, the RNRS is the world's leading specialist plant Society.
- Whittingham Gardening Club - East London gardening club, holding monthly meetings and outdoor trips.
- Woodland Trust - UK's leading conservation charity dedicated to the protection of our native woodland heritage.
